Heat Treatment

  • Solution Heat Treatment: 1175°C (2150°F) followed by rapid cooling or water quenching.

  • Lower-Temperature Exposure: Heat treatments below the solution temperature may cause precipitation of secondary phases; avoid unless specifically required.

  • Post-Working Treatment: All hot- or cold-worked parts should be annealed and rapidly cooled to restore the best balance of properties.
