AMS 5622 specification covers a premium aircraft-quality, corrosion-resistant steel (17-4PH / UNS S17400) in the form of bars, wire, forgings, mechanical tubing, and flash-welded rings up to 8.0 inches (203 mm) in diameter in the solution heat-treated condition, and stock of any size for forging, flash-welded rings, or heading. 

Specifications & Available

17-4PH is a precipitation-hardenable martensitic stainless steel strengthened by copper-rich precipitates during aging. The AMS 5622 designation indicates premium aircraft-quality material produced by vacuum melting, ensuring superior cleanliness and consistency for critical aerospace applications. The alloy is available in solution heat treated (Condition A) and various aged conditions (H900, H925, H1025, H1075, H1100, H1150).
