ZYTC Alloy is an ISO 9001 and AS 9120B certified superalloy manufacturer and supplier, offering 1.4542 / 17-4 PH at factory-direct prices with full material traceability and fast global delivery. 1.4542 (UNS S17400 / 17-4PH) is a martensitic precipitation-hardening stainless steel with additions of copper (Cu), niobium (Nb), and tantalum (Ta). It combines high strength and hardness with moderate corrosion resistance. The grade is solution annealed at high temperature followed by quenching, then hardened by precipitation during aging. Its hardness can reach 43 HRC at the hardening peak of 480°C. Different heat treatment temperatures can optimize mechanical properties, with yield strength ranging from 1100 to 1300 MPa . The alloy is widely used in medical instruments, general mechanics, food industry, and automotive applications.
