ASTM B333 covers plate, sheet, and strip of nickel-molybdenum alloy UNS N10665 (Alloy B-2) for use in general corrosive service. This solid-solution strengthened nickel alloy is specifically designed for extreme reducing conditions, offering exceptional resistance to hydrogen chloride, sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, and other non-oxidizing acids. With a high molybdenum content (26-30%), Alloy B-2 maintains excellent corrosion resistance in as-welded condition without risk of intergranular attack.
