AMS 5607 specification defines this nickel-based alloy for corrosion and heat-resistant applications, with nominal composition 73Ni - 7.0Cr -16.5Mo. Alloy N (UNS N10003, also known as Hastelloy N) is engineered specifically for excellent resistance to molten fluoride salts, the fuel and coolant medium used in next-generation molten salt nuclear reactors. It achieves corrosion rates lower than 0.0025 mm per year in LiF-BeF₂ fuel salt at 700°C. The alloy provides reliable resistance against oxidation, carburization and thermal creep within 705–870°C, making it a premium material for thermal storage and concentrated solar power systems. ZYTC Alloy provides Alloy N sheets, strips and plates in multiple thickness options and surface finishes. All materials comply with ASTM B434 / ASME SB434, complete with mill test certificates and full material traceability to support nuclear, energy and critical industrial projects.
