Alloy 400 (UNS N04400 / 2.4360) is a nickel-copper alloy known for its high strength and toughness. It offers mechanical properties comparable to structural steel and performs reliably at both subzero and elevated temperatures up to 1000°F. The alloy has a melting range of 2370–2460°F. While its annealed form has lower strength, various tempers can be applied to meet specific mechanical requirements.
