AMS 5875 is an SAE International aerospace material specification covering corrosion‑resistant and heat‑resistant cobalt alloy strip. This specification applies to strip up to 0.100 inch (2.54 mm) in thickness, inclusive, and up to 4.000 inches (101.60 mm) in specified width. The alloy designated under this specification is UNS R30003, commercially known as Elgiloy® (or Phynox in Europe), with the Chinese equivalent grade 3J21.
