AMS 5873 specification defines corrosion and heat-resistant nickel base alloy in sheet, strip and plate form. Hastelloy S (UNS N06635) features balanced alloy composition: 15.8% Chromium, 15.2% Molybdenum, 0.30% Aluminum and 0.05% Lanthanum. This nickel alloy delivers outstanding thermal stability, low thermal expansion and superior oxidation resistance up to 2000°F (1093°C). It maintains good strength and ductility after long-term aging within 427°C ~ 871°C, and possesses reliable thermal fatigue performance for extreme service conditions.

Fabrication Guidance

1. Forming: Annealing treatment is required to optimize workability during cold forming

Limitations to Note
