ZYTC Alloy is an ISO 9001 and AS 9120B certified superalloy manufacturer and supplier, offering AMS 5769H Multimet N155 bar at factory-direct prices with full material traceability and fast global delivery.

AMS 5769H specification covers a corrosion- and heat-resistant alloy (Multimet N155 / UNS R30155) in the form of bars, forgings, flash-welded rings, and stock for forging, flash-welded rings, or heading. Multimet N155 has high-temperature properties that are inherent and do not depend upon age hardening.

It is recommended for applications involving high stresses at temperatures up to 815°C (1500°F) and can be used up to 1093°C (2000°F) where only moderate stresses are involved. The alloy offers good ductility, excellent oxidation resistance, and can be readily fabricated and machined.

Specifications & Available

Multimet N155 is a solid-solution strengthened iron-base superalloy containing chromium, nickel, cobalt, molybdenum, tungsten, and niobium. Unlike many superalloys, it requires no age hardening to achieve its high-temperature properties — its strength is inherent in the solution heat-treated condition.

  • Available Forms: Bar, forgings, flash-welded rings, forging stock, heading stock; also seamless pipe, welded pipe, seamless tube, welded tube, wire, sheet, plate, pipe fittings, flanges

  • Specifications: AMS 5769H (bar/forgings/rings), AMS 5532 (sheet/strip/plate), AMS 5794 (welding wire), UNS R30155

Fabrication

  • Solution Annealing: 1177°C (2150°F), water quench or rapid air cool

  • Hot Working: 1093-1205°C (2000-2200°F); reheat as necessary

  • Cold Working: Good formability in annealed condition

  • Machining: Good machinability; similar to austenitic stainless steels

  • Welding: Good weldability using GTAW (TIG), GMAW (MIG), and resistance welding; matching filler metal (AMS 5794) recommended

Applications

  • Air & Land-Based Turbine Engines: Turbine blades, buckets, shafts, rotors, and structural components

  • Aircraft Tail Cones & Tail Pipes: High-temperature exhaust components requiring good strength and oxidation resistance

  • Aircraft Exhaust Manifolds: Components exposed to high-temperature exhaust gases

  • Aircraft Combustion Chambers: Burner components and liners

  • Afterburners: Afterburner components for military aircraft

  • Buckets & Bolts: Turbine buckets and high-temperature fasteners
