AMS 5737 A286 Corrosion Steel Bar
ZYTC Alloy supplies AMS 5731 / AMS 5732 compliant Alloy A286 superalloy, solution treated and aged grades for aerospace, gas turbine and offshore high-temperature applications.
Quantity :
AMS 5737 specification covers a corrosion- and heat-resistant nickel alloy in the form of bars, forgings, flash-welded rings, and stock for forging, flash-welded rings, or heading. 15Cr - 25.5Ni - 1.2Mo - 2.1Ti - 0.006B - 0.30V (A286) Consumable Electrode Remelted 1650 °F (899 °C) Solution and Precipitation Heat Treated. Alloy A286 (UNS S66286), also widely recognized as Grade 660, is a precipitation-hardening iron-nickel-chromium superalloy reinforced with molybdenum and titanium. As one of the most cost-effective and versatile austenitic high-temperature alloys on the market, A286 delivers stable mechanical strength, excellent oxidation resistance and outstanding fabricability at continuous operating temperatures up to 1300°F (704°C).
Typical Mechanical Properties
Professional Heat Treatment Process & Performance DifferentiationThe comprehensive performance of Alloy A286 highly depends on standardized heat treatment. ZYTC Alloy strictly implements two mainstream industrial heat treatment systems to precisely match different engineering performance requirements, realizing targeted optimization of creep strength, ductility and room-temperature mechanical properties. Solution Treated ConditionSpecifications covered: AMS 5731 (AMS 5732 capable), BS HR52 Standard solution heat treatment adopts 1800°F ±25°F (982°C ±14°C) holding for 1 hour, followed by water or oil quenching per AMS standards. This process fully dissolves internal precipitates, homogenizes the alloy microstructure and reserves excellent ductility for subsequent processing. The finished hardness reaches ≥201HB (AMS)and≥217HB / 220HB (BS), suitable for parts requiring secondary forming and welding. Solution Treated + Aged Condition (1800°F Solution)Specifications covered: AMS 5732, BS HR51, ASTM A638 660 Type 2, ASTM A453 660 Class B This dual heat treatment process is the most widely used high-strength state for A286 superalloy:
After aging hardening, the alloy achieves stable high hardness of 248–341HB (AMS & BS) and 260–360HV (BS). The 1800°F solution treatment maximizes the alloy’s creep-rupture strength for high-temperature long-term service, while the optional 1650°F (900°C) solution process further optimizes room-temperature ductility and tensile strength for high-precision stressed components. ApplicationsWith its unique combination of high-temperature strength, oxidation resistance and easy processing, Alloy A286 is widely applied in high-reliability industrial and aerospace core components:
