AMS 5667R specification covers a corrosion- and heat-resistant nickel alloy in the form of bars, forgings, flash-welded rings, and stock for forging, flash-welded rings, or heading.

Alloy X-750 (Inconel® X-750 / UNS N07750) is a precipitation hardenable, high-strength, heat- and corrosion-resistant alloy. Typical applications are for components that require both high strength and corrosion or oxidation resistance.

Fabrication

Solution Annealing: 1093-1149°C (2000-2100°F) × 1-2 hours, water quench or air cool
Precipitation Hardening: 704-732°C (1300-1350°F) × 8-20 hours, air cool or furnace cool
Hot Working: 1010-1205°C (1850-2200°F); maintain proper temperature control
Machining: Good machinability in solution annealed condition
Welding: Good weldability using GTAW (TIG); matching filler metal recommended
Forging: Can be forged into complex shapes for aerospace components
Heading: Suitable for heading operations for fastener production
