AMS 5582E specification covers a corrosion- and heat-resistant nickel alloy in the form of seamless tubing. Alloy X-750 (UNS N07750) is a nickel-chromium alloy which has been made precipitation-hardenable by the additions of aluminum and titanium. Alloy X-750 has good resistance to corrosion and oxidation along with high tensile and creep rupture properties at temperatures up to 1300°F (700°C). Due to X-750's excellent relaxation resistance, it is useful for applications such as high-temperature springs and bolts. X-750 is also used in gas turbines, rocket engines, nuclear reactors, pressure vessels, tooling, and aircraft structures. ZYTC Alloy is an ISO 9001 and AS 9120B certified superalloy manufacturer and supplier, offering AMS 5582E Alloy X-750 seamless tubing at factory-direct prices with full material traceability and fast global delivery.
Fabrication Solution Annealing: 1093-1149°C (2000-2100°F) × 1-2 hours, water quench or air cool Precipitation Hardening (Standard): 704°C (1300°F) × 20 hours, air cool Precipitation Hardening (Furnace Cool): 732°C (1350°F) × 8 hours, furnace cool to 621°C (1150°F), hold 18 hours total, air cool Cold Working: Moderate formability in solution annealed condition Machining: Good machinability; similar to other nickel-chromium alloys Welding: Good weldability using GTAW (TIG); matching filler metal recommended
ApplicationsHigh-Temperature Springs: Tubing for spring applications requiring excellent relaxation resistance at elevated temperatures High-Temperature Bolts and Fasteners: Threaded fasteners for gas turbine and rocket engine assemblies Gas Turbines: Instrumentation tubing, hydraulic lines, fuel lines for turbine sections Rocket Engines: Fluid transfer lines, pressurization systems, thrust chamber tubing Nuclear Reactors: Instrumentation tubing, control rod mechanisms, fuel element hardware Pressure Vessels: High-temperature pressure vessel components and instrumentation lines Tooling: Hot extrusion tooling components Aircraft Structures: Structural tubing for airframe applications requiring high strength at elevated temperatures
