2. Fabrication & Material ComparisonAnnealing: 843-871°C (1550-1600°F) × 10-30 minutes, water quench or air cool; relieves cold work stresses and restores ductility . Hot Working: 927-1177°C (1700-2150°F); reheat as necessary; avoid working below 871°C . Cold Working: Good formability; can be bent, stamped, and drawn; work-hardening rate moderate . Machining: Good machinability; requires sharp tools, positive feeds, and adequate lubrication . Welding: Excellent weldability using GTAW (TIG), GMAW (MIG), and resistance welding; matching filler metal (ERNiCu-7) recommended.
