ASTM B462 specification covers forged or rolled UNS N10276 alloy pipe flanges, forged fittings, valves, and parts intended for corrosive high-temperature service. Alloy C-276 is a nickel-molybdenum-chromium-tungsten alloy that combines good fabricability with impressive corrosion resistance in some of the most severe environments. Due to its exceptional properties, C-276 is commonly used in pollution control, chemical processing, petrochemical, waste incineration, and pharmaceutical applications.

Forging is performed by hammering, pressing, rolling, extruding, or upsetting, followed by proper hot working and heat treatment.

Forging & Heat Treatment Requirements
