AMS 5886 specification covers a corrosion- and heat-resistant nickel alloy in the form of bars, forgings, flash welded rings, and stock for forging or flash welded rings.
Alloy 263 (Nimonic® 263 / UNS N07263 / Werkstoff 2.4650) is an air melt nickel-cobalt-chrome alloy, age hardenable to give a reasonable balance of strength and ductility at room and elevated temperatures.

Fabrication
Solution Annealing: 1150°C (2100°F) × 1.5-2.5 hours, water quench
Aging: 800°C (1470°F) × 8 hours, air cool
Hot Working: 1050-1200°C (1920-2190°F); good forgeability; can be forged into complex shapes
Cold Working: Good formability in solution-annealed condition
Machining: Good machinability; similar to other age-hardenable nickel alloys; carbide tooling recommended
Welding: Good weldability using GTAW (TIG) and GMAW (MIG); matching filler wire required; post-weld aging restores properties
