AMS 5747 specification covers a corrosion- and heat-resistant nickel alloy in the form of bars, forgings, flash welded rings, and stock for forging, or flash welded rings. Alloy X-750 / Inconel® X-750 (UNS N07750 / Werkstoff 2.4669) is a precipitation-hardenable nickel-chromium alloy used for its corrosion and oxidation resistance and high strength at temperatures to 1300°F (704°C) . Although much of the effect of precipitation hardening is lost with increasing temperature over 1300°F, heat-treated material has useful strength up to 1800°F (982°C) . Alloy X-750 also has excellent properties down to cryogenic temperatures. ZYTC Alloy is an ISO 9001 and AS 9120B certified superalloy manufacturer and supplier, offering AMS 5747 Alloy X-750 bar at factory-direct prices with full material traceability and fast global delivery.
Fabrication Solution Annealing: 1093-1149°C (2000-2100°F) × 1-2 hours, water quench or air cool Precipitation Hardening (Standard): 704°C (1300°F) × 20 hours, air cool Precipitation Hardening (Furnace Cool): 732°C (1350°F) × 8 hours, furnace cool to 621°C (1150°F), hold 18 hours total, air cool Hot Working: 1010-1205°C (1850-2200°F); reheat as necessary Machining: Good machinability in solution annealed condition; similar to other nickel-chromium alloys Welding: Good weldability using GTAW (TIG); matching filler metal recommended Forging: Can be forged into complex shapes; maintains good ductility at forging temperatures
ApplicationsRocket Engines: Thrust chambers, injector components, structural hardware, high-temperature fasteners Gas Turbine Engines: Turbine components, combustion hardware, seals, casings, high-temperature bolts and springs Nuclear Reactors: Reactor core components, control rod mechanisms, fuel element hardware, nuclear valves Pressure Vessels: High-temperature pressure vessel components, bolting, instrumentation Tooling: Hot extrusion tooling, die components, high-temperature fixtures Aircraft Structure: Airframe components requiring high strength at elevated temperatures, fasteners, structural fittings High-Temperature Springs and Bolts: Applications requiring excellent relaxation resistance at elevated temperatures
