AMS 5605 / Alloy 706 (UNS N09706) Solution Heat Treated Sheet
AMS 5605 specification defines corrosion and heat-resistant nickel-base Alloy 706 material supplied as sheet, strip and plate. This alloy is melted via consumable electrode melting or vacuum induction melting, and delivered in solution heat treated condition at 1800 °F (982.2 °C). Alloy 706, also known as Inconel 706™ ( (UNS N09706) ), is a precipitation-hardenable nickel-based superalloy. It maintains high mechanical strength from cryogenic temperatures up to approximately 1200 °F (650 °C). While its performance is comparable to Alloy 718, Alloy 706 features superior fabricability. It supports production of larger ingots and forgings, and offers outstanding resistance to weld strain-age cracking. This material is ideal for components requiring high elevated-temperature strength in heavy cross-sections, as well as services vulnerable to pitting corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. As a professional Chinese nickel superalloy manufacturer, ZYTC Alloy supplies AMS 5605 Alloy 706 sheet, strip and plate for global gas turbine, aerospace and energy customers.
