AMS 5544 Standard Heat Treatment Process

The stable and superior performance of AMS 5544 Waspaloy entirely depends on standardized graded heat treatment procedures. ZYTC Alloy strictly follows the official AMS specification process to ensure consistent microstructure and mechanical properties of each batch of products:

Annealing Treatment: 1975°F, holding for 30 minutes, air cooling, to optimize material ductility and eliminate internal stress
Solution Heat Treatment: 1825°F, holding for 2 hours, air cooling, to homogenize alloy structure and lay a foundation for subsequent aging strengthening
Stabilization Heat Treatment: 1550°F, holding for 4 hours, air cooling, to stabilize internal metallurgical structure and improve thermal fatigue resistance
Precipitation Aging Treatment: 1400°F, holding for 16 hours, air cooling, to precipitate strengthening phases and maximize high-temperature strength and hardness
