ASTM F90 specifies wrought cobalt-20chromium-15tungsten-10nickel alloy (UNS R30605) for surgical implant applications. This cobalt-based superalloid offers high strength, outstanding corrosion resistance, excellent wear resistance, and good biocompatibility, making it ideal for cardiovascular stents, surgical filaments, orthopedic wires, and implantable devices .
