AMS 4914 specification covers a titanium alloy in the form of sheet and strip. Ti-15V-3Cr-3Al-3Sn(UNS R58153) is an age hardenable, metastable-beta alloy primarily used where cold formability and high strength are desired.   Ti 15-3-3-3(UNS R58153) is usually acceptable for use at temperatures up to 550°F (288°C).

ZYTC Alloy, a reliable Chinese titanium alloy manufacturer and stockist, provides high‑performance AMS 4914 Ti‑15V‑3Cr‑3Al‑3Sn (15‑3‑3‑3, UNS R58153) titanium alloy sheet and strip.

Available Product Range at ZYTC Alloy

Beyond AMS 4914 titanium alloy sheet and strip / foil, ZYTC Alloy supplies Ti‑15‑3‑3‑3 in multiple product forms to cover different component‑making requirements: titanium rod, tube & pipe, fittings and castings. We support standard‑size stock supply as well as custom dimensions according to customer drawings and technical requirements. Every batch is accompanied by complete Mill Test Reports, and third‑party PMI inspection is available upon request to guarantee full material traceability.

Core Advantages of AMS 4914 Ti‑15‑3‑3‑3 Sheet

  • Excellent cold formability, capable of forming complex shapes without hot working
  • Age‑hardenable to achieve high strength after post‑fabrication heat treatment
  • Good weld performance for assembled and welded structures
  • Good resistance against saltwater and corrosive service environments
  • Low directionality; annealed properties remain stable across production lots
  • Cost‑effective alternative versus traditional hot‑formed alpha‑beta titanium alloys

Heat Treatment & Processing

Solution Treatment: 790°C (1450°F) for 3–20 minutes, air cool. This produces a soft, ductile beta structure with excellent cold formability.

Aging (Precipitation Hardening): 480–620°C (900–1150°F) for 4–16 hours, air cool. During aging, fine alpha precipitates develop within the beta matrix and substantially raise the strength.

Key Processing Characteristics:

  • Cold Formability: Excellent cold formability in the solution-treated condition—superior to alpha-beta alloys—enabling intricate shapes without hot forming

  • Strip Producibility: Can be produced as strip, offering cost advantages over alpha-beta alloys that require hot rolling on hand mills

  • Weldability: Rated as good; compatible with conventional welding methods

  • Machinability: More difficult; requires slow speeds, high coolant flow, and carbide tooling (C1-C4)

  • Service Temperature: Suitable for applications up to 288–300°C (550–570°F)

Typical Industrial & Aerospace Applications

Thanks to its unique combination of cold formability, high achievable strength and corrosion stability, AMS 4914 Ti‑15‑3‑3‑3 titanium alloy sheet and strip are widely deployed across high‑end sectors:
  • Aerospace: turbine engine disks & blades, seals, airframe structures, airframe parts, ducting, honeycomb structures, hydraulic tubing, springs and fasteners
  • Oil & gas: high‑strength corrosion‑resistant structural and sealing components
  • High‑performance automotive: lightweight formed structural and spring‑type components
