AMS5537J specification covers a corrosion- and heat-resistant cobalt alloy (L605 / Haynes 25 / UNS R30605) in the form of sheet, strip, foil, and plate up to 2.250 inches (57.15 mm) in nominal thickness. Alloy L605 is a cobalt-nickel-chromium-tungsten alloy with exceptional strength and good oxidation resistance in environments up to 1093°C (2000°F). The material is ideal for hot, corrosive environments such as jet engines, combustion chambers, and gas turbines. It offers good resistance to sulfidation, carburization, wear, and galling.
Specifications & AvailableAlloy L605 is supplied solution heat treated in the range of 1177-1232°C (2150-2250°F) and rapid air or water quenched to attain optimum properties. The alloy is non-magnetic and provides good strength and corrosion resistance across a broad range of environments.
