AMS 5837 Alloy 625 (UNS N06625) Welding Wire
Chemical Composition (Weight %, AMS 5837 Specification)
Weld Metal Key PerformanceWeld deposits produced with AMS 5836 / AMS 5837 Alloy 625 welding wire achieve room‑temperature tensile strength exceeding 100 ksi. The austenitic weld microstructure resists harmful phase precipitation during long‑term service, and post‑weld heat treatment is not required for most operating conditions. The welded joint retains excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion and chloride‑induced stress‑corrosion cracking. Weld integrity remains stable across an extreme service range from cryogenic conditions up to 1800 °F (982 °C). Relevant Industry Standards
