Weld Metal Key Performance

Weld deposits produced with AMS 5836 / AMS 5837 Alloy 625 welding wire achieve room‑temperature tensile strength exceeding 100 ksi. The austenitic weld microstructure resists harmful phase precipitation during long‑term service, and post‑weld heat treatment is not required for most operating conditions.

The welded joint retains excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion and chloride‑induced stress‑corrosion cracking. Weld integrity remains stable across an extreme service range from cryogenic conditions up to 1800 °F (982 °C).

Available Dimensions & Packaging

ZYTC Alloy supplies AMS 5837 solid welding wire in standard diameters 0.030″‑0.125″ (0.76 mm‑3.18 mm). Product is provided on precision‑machined spools, with custom spool weight and special dimensional requirements available upon request. All welding wire is manufactured and inspected strictly in accordance with SAE AMS 5837 aerospace requirements.
