AMS 5513304 features optimized chromium‑nickel chemistry. Compared with standard 304 grades, controlled carbon content reduces chromium‑carbide precipitation risk triggered by welding and high‑temperature exposure, lowering susceptibility to intergranular corrosion. In many service scenarios, AMS 5513 material can be deployed in as‑welded state, whereas conventional 304 often requires post‑weld annealing to preserve full corrosion‑resistance capability.

Application

AMS 5513 304 sheet, strip and plate are primarily used for stamped, formed and deep‑drawn components requiring corrosion resistance up to 800 °F (427 °C). Please note that welding, brazing or fabrication‑cycle heating above 800 °F (427 °C) may degrade its corrosion‑resistance performance.

Typical end‑uses cover aerospace structural parts, aircraft interior assemblies, industrial forming components and general‑purpose corrosion‑resistant hardware.
