UNS C70600 (Copper Nickel 90/10) is a 90% copper, 10% nickel alloy with small but critical additions of iron (1.5%) and manganese (1.0%) to enhance overall strength and corrosion resistance. This alloy offers excellent resistance to stress corrosion, erosion, and biofouling in seawater and brackish water, good creep resistance at elevated temperatures, and retention of mechanical properties down to cryogenic temperatures. It is widely used in marine, offshore, chemical, petrochemical, and shipbuilding industries for seawater handling, heat exchangers, and cooling plants .
